ABOUT LORNE'S SAWMILL

EXPERTISE AND DEDICATION

Lorne’s Sawmill is a band sawmill lumber-producing facility that was started in 2007. Lorne’s Sawmill is located north of Prince Albert on the east side of the Pulp Haul Road – just south of the White Star Road and Pulp Haul Road intersection.

Sourced logs are procured from Saskatchewan’s forests from both private and public lands while complying with regeneration regulations.

The species commonly milled are white and black spruce, with smaller percentages each of jack pine, balsam fir, tamarack larch, white and black poplar (trembling aspen and balsam poplar), as well as white birch. While custom sawing for other customers, we have milled other species both native and exotic.

The use of a bandsaw mill allows for a smoother finish on the categorized “rough lumber” and the thin blade allows for more recovery from a given log. Markets are both retail and wholesale customers.
